Favorite outdoor hobbies

What sort of hobbies or activities do you enjoy that you're able to do outdoors? It's been beautiful here for the last couple of days - after a few really chilling weeks - and I'm wanting to take advantage of it in case it's going to go away again. I spend way too much time cooped up inside the house!

I enjoy hiking a lot.  Just being out in the woods perks me up.  It helps with exercise too.  I also like yard work and there's plenty to be done around here.  Too early for a garden, but I've cleaned up the brush and last of the leaves.

Sometimes on family vacations we would go kayaking. Our family is at the amateur level, nothing fancy, but it is still nice to relax on the water for an hour. We've been to Catalina Island off the West Cost of California, and it is just beautiful there.

Hiking is always good. I usually enjoy it more when nature has perked up a little though. Thanks to those dead things there is plenty of yard work though! I might have to get my husband to share the load. He usually likes to do it all himself. Kayaking sounds like fun, too! I'll have to see what we have for that around here. Thanks for the ideas, you two!

I'm not really much of an 'outdoorsy' person. Given the choice, I'd really rather just curl up on the sofa with some wine and a good book. Some days the family comes to visit and we have a picnic at the park or a barbeque in the backyard, but to be honest, it's the company I enjoy rather than the setting.

This makes the two of us! Though I don't hike as often as I would want now, I have memories of a lot of places that we went hiking years ago, though I must admit it wasn't easy for those who weren't so fit.
