My husband is a good chess player and naturally, all our children followed in his footsteps. I was never keen as I found the game to be too complicated. They visit regularly to catch up and play and I will be there just cooking the food and enjoying their stay.

That's great!! Just to have them all in the same house would be wonderful. I used to love to watch my kids watch a football game on TV with their Pop.  Of course I did the same as you with the cooking and snacks.  Enjoy every day.  Life is so short.

It must be nice to have something like that, something simple and "good, clean fun", bring them together. Like Kidless said, enjoy every second of it! Sort of off topic, but have you all seen the Bobby Fischer Against the World documentary?
