People who don't keep promises

I don't consider people who don't live up to their promises to be true friends. It is even worse when such people assume that they haven't done anything wrong. We were planning a get-together and decided to assign roles for ease of execution. Someone reneged on their responsibilities and caused a whole mess, leading to a serious mishap at the last minute. Rather than apologize, they still went about their business like nothing happened.

I would be willing to venture, they are the narcissists I've been talking about.  That is their habits!

That wasn't very nice of them  and not sure why they couldn't have said they didn't want to do it to begin with. To leave others in a mess in more then rude but then people like that don't really 'get it'. I'm with Mary on this one, they were only thinking of themselves and not others.

Geesh, this person not only broke their promise but didn't apologize afterwards, that's crazy. I may have been able to forgive her for not doing her part, but not apologizing isn't okay.

That's horrible! Are they breaking promises often or did something come up? Sometimes we have to give people a second chance. I hope things got figured out and that you all still had fun.
