Title: I can't help it.
Post by: BettyBoop on May 29, 2018, 02:31:40 PM
I'm such a sucker when it comes to stray animals.  I know I have too many cats but I just recently got a new one.  She is such a treasure.  She's a black and gray striped with so much energy she can't stand herself.  I think I'm up to 9 or 10 now.  But they all needed a home.   :catdrinkingmilkbowl:

That's very kind of you! Not every person is capable of taking care of wild animals, especially so many of them at once. As long as you are not feeling overwhelmed and they all can get the shelter and food they deserve, I think you can have as many as you can!

What do you like best about taking care of the cats?

Bless you BettyBoop! I know there are a lot of cats/kittens out there that need homes and it's nice that you will always find a place for one that  may show up at your house. We need more like you!  :tinypinkflowers:

Oh my BettyBoop, I hear ya! I don't have to go out and get any, they seem to find me. Luckily I finally managed to get our 'mama' cat fixed so haven't had any new kitties in a while now (can't afford anymore!) We or "I" was having a very hard time getting her into the carrier to go get fixed. After she had the last litter I go smarter and started to feed her and the kittens in the carrier that I have.

She would always bring the kitties around at about 4 weeks or so for me to 'see' them and when she was starting to wean them. She got used to going in the carrier to eat so it wasn't as hard to put her in when I got ready to take her the final time.  :cutecheerleader:  That was such a relief. I mean I love cats but where I live they are very hard to find homes for. I managed for a few but most ended up staying here with us. (and I'm NOT saying how many we have!) :)

Some though are offsprings from the original farals that I was helping to feed several years ago and stay outside. Although I can pet them all now.

I will say that we do have another that has been hanging around for several months now. He's a big Manx and I've gotten him to the point where I can get him to come when I call and pet him. Even managed to pick him up today for a little while. He used to not even get close to any of the other cats and didn't eat with them. But now does. What am I going to do? I'm a cat person.
