A friend bailed out on us

It has been two months of planning and unfortunately, one of us pulled out with less than a week go. All this involves money, and so we've been forced to plan and adjust everything. How do you handle such people? I am angry, but I haven't given them a piece of my mind.

I'm sorry your friend bailed on you. That wasn't cool of her.

Did she say why she bailed? If it's something like a family emergency, there's not much you can do about that, but if she just changed her mind on you, that isn't cool.

Take a bit of time to cool off. Then, if you still want to confront her, do it in a kind way, letting her know how her actions affected you.

I understand how that feels when someone do that to us. But I agree with Elise that you should firstly get to know the situation of your friend. If you guys have already been planning for two months and suddenly your friend bailed, there might be a situation which he or she didn’t expect before as well.
