Falling Out Of Bed
« on: April 07, 2019, 05:11:58 AM »
My mother-in-law says she has been falling out of bed for the past week or so. I have reasons to doubt the veracity of her story, so I wanted to ask if anyone here has had experience with this happening to their parents or in-laws. She's 75, so if she is indeed falling out of bed, it seems quite dangerous. She has never fallen out of bed ever before, and now it has happened every day this week. If it is fake, how would you go about handling the situation?

Try fitting her bed with one of those side rails we all used for our childrens beds..   You know what I mean?

I was going to suggest the same thing as MaryB. I don't know where you would get them, but I'd look for those side rails they can put on beds, like they use in hospitals. That way, whether she's making it up or not, she'll be protected.
