I ordered myself an instant pot tonight. I've been hearing so much about them from friends and family who own them that I finally broke down and got one.


I haven't had a crock pot in years, but I loved it when I had one. I think that this feature will be really great with having my mom around. I can just throw ingredients into the pot and let them be while I care for my mother. I love that you can make yogurt and desserts with the instant pot, too. I have a friend who loves to make cheesecake in hers! I'll have to ask her how she does that. I just love cheesecake. Hmmm.....this could be a dangerous investment for my waistline, haha!

haha Katy!   I have one and love it too.  I have not made desserts in it but stews and roasts,  and such.  Now I am curious about the desserts too..   keep us posted!   :big hug smiley sign:

It is definitely a dangerous investment for your waistline but overall, I like the fact that instant pot literally makes our work easier. Now that you have mentioned, I think I need to get an instant pot as well. Did you order this online?

How are you liking your Instant Pot? I hear good comments only about it! I don't have one yet, just a slow cooker that I use for stews and chili.

I would not say that this will be a dangerous investment for the waistline. Cooking at home is way healthier than eating fast food. You can choose the ingredients that you think is healthy for you.

As for the instant pot, congrats on having it. I may have to get one myself.
