Grrrrr   Am I the only one that does not like Facebook?  I know!  I know!  I know you use it to keep in touch.. bla bla bla..   to me it's the modern day party line!   :017:
What upsets me the most though is the church is on Facebook, and puts the announcements on it, so if you (me) do not have one, you are in the dark!  I remember not to long ago the churches preached against it.
Anyone else out there or am I the last one on earth that does not have a FB?   :dunno:

I have one but I don't like using it. The "news" feed (funny how they call it that) is always filled with utter garbage. My daughter will post pictures of my grandchildren on occasion, but I've requested she send me the pictures personally to ensure I don't miss them. I miss the days before social media and everyone's obsession with posting 12 selfies a month (we know what you look like, no need to remind us, thanks!) and sharing their quiz results for what flavor of yogurt their personality matches.  :c002:

I dont even want my friends to know that much about me, and I'm sure they dont want to !

I closed my Facebook years ago. I didn't feel comfortable sharing personal thoughts that might accidentally (or not!) turn into gossip, and it took too long checking on everyone's updates.

See noodle, that's what I say too, that would be another job having to check in!  I bet there are more that dont like it too but dont speak out because of it's popularity!  I know if you dont go with the flow you are ostracized..  I'd rather have an old fashioned bulletin from church !  Ahhh the good ole days!

I don't mind it actually. It was a cheaper way to communicate with family across the country. I am not much for text messages though. I find it impossible to use the screen on my phone properly and end up saying gibberish half the time. At least on the computer with Facebook I can use a keyboard and get my thoughts across properly! I stay away from the main news part of Facebook though, I really just use it for the messenger section.

I have a Facebook account, but I don't like using it. It's a nice way to see what my daughter is up to sometimes, but otherwise, I could do without it! The news feed has so much negativity on it. At a time where I'm trying to stay positive, that is no good for me.

I'm with you, MaryB. I don't want to have to go to Facebook or even to a website to find out what's going on with our church. I'm old-fashioned, I guess, because I prefer having a paper Sunday bulletin.

I do have a Facebook account to keep up with my daughter, but other than that, I don't really use it all that much.

And with the family too,  if you miss something they say they put it on FB  like you should have seen it!
Katy,  I have thought of mentioning bringing back the church bulletin but you know how that is, if I say it, it becomes my job and that may be more than I can do.  I am NOT organized, even though I try hard..  I'm one of those I write on my calendar and still forget bdays or write a grocery list and walk off without it!   :(
