Not always being "available"
« on: February 02, 2019, 06:16:23 PM »
Remember when the only ways to contact someone, aside from physically going to their home, were calling them on the (landline) telephone or sending them a letter in the mail? If they didn't answer there was no panic or badgering. Sometimes I really resent how we're expected to always read (and reply) to someone's text or Facebook message, and quickly at that.

That's true..  with modern tech you take the good and the bad.  I have friends I know wont answer quickly and am lucky if they answer a text in a few days.  Now they get me upset when there is no other way of getting them when they've taken the house phone out and only have the cell phone.
