Food shows and channels

I'm trying to catch up on The Great British Baking Show on Netflix. I was iffy about sticking with it when all but one of the original hosts left, but the new hosts are just as likable. Are there any programs or food channels that you're really enjoying right now?

I'm currently bingeing the last season of Top Chef.  I usually binge-watch reality cooking shows so I can see how it plays out all at once.  It's hard to avoid spoilers otherwise.  I don't believe we get the show you're watching in the United States.  Is it similar to Top Chef

The GBBS is on Netflix. There's a pretty big time lag from the original UK broadcasts, though.

I haven't seen a Top Chef in so long! When good cooks compete, I'm in so much suspense over how everything will end.

I'll have to check out the Great British Baking Show - it sounds good. I liked watching Cupcake Wars. I'm not sure if it's still on Netflix, but it was when I watched it.

I also love the reality cooking shows like Hell's Kitchen. I believe it's over now, but The Worst Cook in America was also a good one.

My favorite cooking shows are Chopped, Kitchen Nightmares and Hell's Kitchen. Chopped is cool because it's interesting to see what the chefs will create in such a limited time with unconventional ingredients. Kitchen Nightmares and Hell's Kitchen are just plain fun for me. I get a kick out of watching the antics between the cooks and Gordon Ramsay. I suppose I have a bit of a crush on him as well  .

I've been watching The Next Food Network Star lately. I love watching the cooking channel, but it seems like whenever I try to follow the directions a host gives on television, my dish doesn't come out nearly as nice as theirs does! I work better with written recipes.

What about the rest of you? Have you been able to successfully create dishes they show on television?

Layla, haha that's the truth!  One of the things I love to look at are the almost but not quite baking mistakes on Pinterest.  Those people try to imitate the pros but it just doesnt come out the same!
