2019 Goals
« on: December 29, 2018, 05:37:57 AM »
I don't really make New Year's resolutions, but I do try to think of a few goals I'd like to meet every year.

In 2019, I want to read more books, go for more walks/exercise more, and begin to learn Russian. I have wanted to learn Russian for a long time, and I think this will be a good way for me to take a break from caretaking for my mom and do something for myself.

What are your 2019 resolutions or goals?

The older I get, the more I realize that my husband and I need to take another look at our estate planning and we need to set up our advanced directives for medical decisions.  We're in good health, but those are documents that everyone should have ready and we've been putting it off for ages.  My goal is to complete everything by March.

I also want to read more. My other resolution is eating better. I want to cut down on salt and sugar, two things I love!

I am careful not to make any New Year resolutions that aren't realistic. The desire to learn another foreign language has been with me for a while and so I want to begin learning French. Hopefully, this is going to be a fruitful year.

Everyone has such great goals!

JustUs2, getting those documents in order is so important, and I haven't done mine, either. You are inspiring me to get on that.

girlchild34, Good luck learning French!

noodle and MaryB, good luck with the diet changes. I'm sure I eat too much salt and sugar, too.

Good luck, Katy. That's cool that you'll be learning Russian! I'm hoping to save up for some traveling this or next year at the latest, either a long US road trip or somewhere in Europe.

My new year's resolution is to quit smoking! Such a nasty habit that I have never been able to break. This year I am going to give it another go...and I hope I succeed! It really does suck to try and quit, but I feel mentally stronger that I've ever been.
