Does It Ever Get Any Easier?

My daughter and I had a wonderful time over her Thanksgiving break. We took a day and went to the spa and relaxed. We did a little Christmas shopping afterwards and had a nice dinner out at her favorite place.


She went back to college on Sunday, and now I feel so sad and lonely again. Does this ever get any easier?

It gets a little easier as the weeks go by. My youngest moved out of state a few months ago, and I think and worry about him everyday. It helps hearing him say he's happy with where he's at now.

Wow, noodle, I can't imagine being so far away from my daughter. She goes to college in-state, but it is about a 3-hour drive. I miss her like crazy.

I'm glad your son is happy. It definitely helps to know that our kids are happy and doing well. Hang in there!

I'm missing my kids more than usual this week. I wish I could just hop in the car and take them to lunch or dinner, but they're many states away!

I'm sorry you're missing your kids so much right now. Even though my daughter is going to college in the same state, she is a two-hour drive away and is always so busy. I hope you feel better soon. Maybe a call to your kids would cheer you up a bit? I can definitely relate to how hard it is to miss them.

I wish we all could live close enough to our kids to be apart of their lives.  I hate how far we live from familys now.  It would be so much easier to accept if we knew we'd see them often.
