Thanksgiving Plans?
« on: November 09, 2018, 08:49:40 AM »
What are your Thanksgiving Day plans this year?   Normally, I'd at least have a menu planned by this point and would have tested a new recipe or two before the big meal.  November kinda sneaked up on me though.

This will be our first Thanksgiving without the kids. We will be helping serve lunch at church, then head to my sister's house for dinner. What about you?

I like your idea of serving lunch at church.  It's extremely kind of you!  I like to try a new side dish each Thanksgiving and this year I'm leaning towards wild rice dressing.  I just need to source the ingredients so I can have a trial run ahead of time.  Most of my family comes to my house for Thanksgiving since mom isn't able to cook and host like she used too.  She helps (critiques) me though, and I like having people over.

That wild rice dressing sounds good! Please let us know how it turns out.

My daughter is coming home for Thanksgiving, and I'm really looking forward to it. She and I are planning to cook dinner together, though I will be up much earlier than she is to get it started, I'm sure. It'll be great to have her home for Thanksgiving.
