Setting a communication schedule
« on: September 16, 2018, 04:30:21 AM »
While reminiscing the years gone by and how strange it felt seeing our adult kids start their own journeys, I cannot over emphasize how setting this schedule helped us bond with our kids. It wasn't easy to refrain from bombarding them with texts and phone calls. At times, the calls and texts went unanswered. Thing is, kids need to be given some room to enjoy their freedom and independence, as they learn to be on their own.

Wow you got your's to have a communication schedule!!!   :cutecheerleader: Good for you!   Usually if we could get them to just call/text/ video chat on Sundays it would be awesome.  Is that what you did?

What does your communication schedule look like and how did you get your kids to agree to it? I would love to know there are set times when my daughter and I would connected, but I feel overbearing thinking of asking for that.
