What was the first step you took?
« on: November 11, 2018, 01:35:44 AM »
Every time I pictured life as an empty nester, my mind would simply wander! My husband perfectly understood my situation but even his reassuring demeanor did nothing to make me stop worrying about how things would pan out. You all probably agree that the children take a lot of our time when around and when they leave, we are left with a lot of empty days in our calendars.

The first thing I did was take endless naps as a way of relieving stress and also as an attempt to improve productivity. After about 3 days of the same routine, we took a long-trip that we hadn't even planned for.

I try to distract myself by cleaning a lot, but there's only so much you can clean. I cleaned out our garage, our attic, our closets. It was a big project, but now it's all done, and I'm not quite sure what to do next.
