Celebrating Valentine's Day
« on: January 22, 2018, 02:24:07 PM »
I feel like I've been married forever.  I can't imagine my life any other way.  Do you all still celebrate Valentine's Day together?  We still make it a date night and buy each other gifts.  Though the best gift he's ever given me is his unconditional love and support.

That sounds so cheesy

Well, he doesn't have to know.

Fairly new relationship here (3 years) and we still celebrate. No gifts though, just celebrate. Every day is a day to celebrate our love.

It's sweet that you still celebrate.

Yea, we do celebrate. I thankfully have a very respectful and loving marriage and we know it's a silly Hallmark holiday, but we have fun doing the flowers and chocolates thing. Sometimes we get some small gifts, too like CDs or a book. Funny story about yesterday - we both gave each other the same CD. You know you've been together forever when... :s_laugh:

We also celebrate this day but in a very subtle way. He doesn't love all the attention that comes with going to public places and so forth. We often opt to go for dinner to a quiet place and exchange gifts. I would also say that his unconditional love and support are the greatest gifts I have ever received.
