Alternative to potatoes

I love potatoes but I know they have a lot of carbs. What would be a good alternative for me? I'd like it to be the same kind of consistency. I've tried cauliflower and didn't care for it.

In all honesty, cauliflower is about as good as it gets.  If you didn't like the flavor, try mixing some potatoes in with it so you'll still get that same taste but with less carbs. You can add bacon as a topping which packs a lot of flavor and might help mask the cauliflower.

Okay, thanks for the tip. I'll try to mix it with potatoes and then switch to just cauliflower. I never thought about adding bacon or cheese. Is cheese low carb?
