Sorry for you and your pet's troubles Nvgt sand MaryB. It is awfully hard to know they feel bad and not be able to help.

I had to take one of mine to a specialist to learn he was allergic to fleas.  ::) He's still coming off a steroid and I have to put flea medication on him and his brother twice a month. That stuff is already crazy expensive!

Oh yeah, and another trick I've found is using Google shopping to compare prices, which include shipping. It also lists special offers. It's how I'm not going completely broke buying flea meds!

When I used to have a pet I felt like I spent more money of food for it than I did myself. I'm thinking of getting another one, so I'm following this topic to see suggestions.

Thank you.   You know since we moved to Fl I've had to keep that expensive flea meds on my kids too...   I read there are garlic pills that naturally keep fleas from biting them.  I have wondered if it would work.  Just giving them the chemicals in their bodies cannot be healthy period, plus the high expense.  I wonder if anyone has tried, with success, any natural remedies.

I wanted to change my dogs food to Blue Buffalo.  The cost of that is really high.  I want to feed my dog good stuff but this priced itself right out of the basket.  If you can believe the advertisement, Chewy.com will be cheaper.  Has anyone tried them?
