Smart Thanksgiving
« on: November 23, 2016, 07:21:08 AM »
For years now I have tried to cook/prepare the entire thanksgiving meal in two days leaving the turkey and dressing for Thanksgiving day.  This year I started early so I can enjoy the grand children and the parades.  The turkey is cooked and in the fridge along with the ham, Cole slaw and pumpkin pies.   All I have left is the dressing.  And I used disposable pans.  Why didn't I do this years ago?

I think we get a little wiser as we get older! I am doing the turkey and dressing and the pumpkin pie in the morning. Then I am taking it to my mothers where my daughter inlaw will already have the ham, baked beans, mashed potatoes and some desserts ready. We will fix the green bean casserole, mac and cheese and rolls after I get there which should only take half an hour or so. I do not have any grandkids to enjoy yet, but I am sure thankful that my daughter inlaw is helping with half the dinner this year. Makes it so much easier on me.
