Just popping in to read some post and saw this guess it's new, should be a fun topic! :13:


Not sure how weird or crazy this is but we had a cat several years ago that was a stray. She really didn't like to be held but loved to be petted. She would lay up close to you or sometime jump in your lap then she would 'tap' you on your arm (or face if she was close enough) to get you to pet her. If you stopped she would do it again. She was a sweet cat and I still miss her.

We have two rescue kitties that have totally different personalities.  One will tap you on the arm if he wants out and the other will try and open the door if she wants out.  The male has to be touching you when he sleeps and the female has to be near you but not touching.  They are so funny.  We love them both.  At our stage in life they are our children or "fur babies."  :)

My daughter has wanted a cat for a long time now. I finally gave in and let her have one that we got a couple weeks ago. She is the most beautiful girl I have ever seen and such a sweetheart! She is also one that does not care to be held, but she loves to sit next to you and be petted. For the last three nights, I have woke up in the middle of the night with her staring me right in the face. I'm thinking maybe my snoring alarms her and she thinks she needs to check on me. LOL

We had a cat like that once Elizabeth. She was the sweetest thing, just didn't want to be heal but sure loved for you to pet her so you'd get that tap tap tap on your arm and she'd look you in the eye as if she were saying you can pet me now.  :pawprint:
